Things To Do In South Florida in The Fall for 2019
Do you get excited about fall events like I do?
Last year, I saw a friend on Instagram go to the cutest place for fall pictures. I asked her where it was and planned to head there the following Sunday. I got dolled up in my fall attire and wore my favorite brown hat. The boys were not as thrilled but the hubs had promised to take me so I got them dressed nicely as I wanted to grab some photos.
Long and behold, the place was great but it was like almost 90 people. DUH! I live in South Florida after all and my make up was melting. So lesson learned and it will be shorts this year for my family fall outings but here are the top things to do in South Florida in the fall
Flamingo Nursery
This is where I went last year and I loved it. They had cute photo prop setups and many activities for small kids. My boys are older but it was still fun to walk around, check the pumpkins and have some great food. I didnโt get to ride the hayride because that line was way too full and remember it was so hot, but I hope to get on it this year.
The Brightline Event for Kids
I am so excited for all the events the Brightline has lined up for the fall and winter. First up, kids 12 and under will be able to ride free starting 10/14.
Guests will be greeted at the Fort Lauderdale station by costumed characters and will enjoy a costume dress-up photo opp and character interaction, and be directed to board the train. While on the train, children will enjoy a hilarious interactive show with performers from the Florida Childrenโs Theater.
Secondly, they are having a cool Trick-Train Halloween Spooktacular event. As per their website:
Included with the purchase of a Brightline ticket, on October 19, 20, 26, and 27, guests can travel from the Fort Lauderdale on the Halloween Trick-or-Train heading south to Transylvania (a.k.a. Miami!)
Upon arrival to Virgin MiamiCentral, guests will be guided by the performers to a play area in Central Fare marketplace that will be transformed into Trainsylvania where families can explore and participate in a range of activities centered around art, music, and all things Halloween including crafts, games, LEGO challenges, and other fun surprises! The experience also includes a complimentary kids meal by HOUSE OF MAC.
West Palm Beach families are invited to ride the Trick-or-Train and will begin the experience at the Fort Lauderdale station.
Last but not least, they are bringing back the Polar Express experience. It will depart from Fort Lauderdale and Miami. This year will be double the fun as we added a second departure to the North Pole from South Florida:
โ Miami departures on select weekdays beginning Nov. 19.
โ Fort Lauderdale departures will return weekends and select holiday dates beginning Nov. 16
