I loved this weather representation of South Florida because it was pretty accurate until yesterday when temps fell below 50 degrees. Brrr. I don’t miss the cold from up North.

We are in January aka second spring, so don’t worry warm temps will be back tomorrow. But technically we are still in Winter my friends, and here are some fun things to do with the family during winter in South Florida.

South Florida Fair – Date: Jan 17 – Feb 02, 2020

The South Florida Fair is an annual fair held in West Palm Beach, Florida, every January. The fairgrounds site occupies 100 acres and is located on the site of the former Palm Beach Speedway at the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Fairground Road, adjacent to the Coral Sky Amphitheatre.

Cirque du Soleil Alegria – In a New Light

Sunny Side Up Market 

This fabulous artisan market will be back on February 8th and takes place at Mass District area in downtown Fort Lauderdale. South Florida Garlic Fest 

Eat, drink & STINK with at John Prince Park in the funkiest little city of South Florida, Lake Worth Beach!

It all started out as a small festival in a city parking lot in Downtown Delray Beach just as this Village by the Sea was becoming the vibrant tourist destination it is today. Within five years the event gained attendance of 30,000+ and was booking major national music acts! Around that time, The Garlic Fest was nicknamed โ€œThe Best Stinkinโ€™ Party in South Floridaโ€. Butterfly Festival – February 29, 2020

Rides, fireworks and food. This is a free event and Parking is offsite with free shuttle rides 12:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. from select venues, including casino @ 5550 NW 40th Street, Coconut Creek, and recreation facilities at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard, Coconut Creek.

West Palm Seafood Festival – West Palm Beach

Also taking place on February 29, 2020. The West Palm Seafood Festival invites seafood lovers and fans of all things nautical and fun to a family-friendly adventure at the South Florida Fairgrounds 9067 Southern Blvd, West Palm Beach Florida 33411.

Nights at the Museum “Winter Wonders”

Each Night at the Museum is a different theme, which includes various interactive science crafts, activities, entertainment, and exhibits.

Activities include Winter Wonder Jellies Lab, Frost in Florida Experiment, DIY Snow Globe Craft, Virtual Reality, and Stargazing with the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches

Admission for Nights at the Museum is $6 for members, $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for seniors, $10.95 for children 3-12, children under 3 are free. Tickets purchased at the door.
